Welcome to Dumpling King: A Culinary Gem in Coral Springs
Nestled in the heart of Coral Springs, Dumpling King is not just another dining spot; it's a destination where flavor and tradition collide. This vibrant eatery, located at 1221 N University Dr, Coral Springs, FL 33071, has quickly earned a reputation for serving some of the most delightful and authentic dumplings this side of the globe. With the convenience of takeout, outdoor seating, and a variety of amenities, including accessible parking and ADA-compliant facilities, Dumpling King ensures that everyone can enjoy a sumptuous meal in comfort.
As a food reviewer for Foodjoyy, I had the pleasure of experiencing the magic of Dumpling King firsthand. The menu is a well-curated selection of deliciousness, where each dish tells a story of culinary artistry. One standout item is their famous soup dumplings, as highlighted by customer Jay C. The delightful experience of biting into the soft dumpling skin, releasing a burst of savory broth, is nothing short of a culinary revelation.
Beyond the dumplings, the menu features a variety of dishes. The fried chicken is crispy with a perfectly seasoned crust, while the ramen is a harmonious blend of rich flavors that dance on the palate. Customers have raved about the deliciousness of each dish, emphasizing the quality that Dumpling King consistently delivers. Liz S. noted that despite an "awkward ordering scenario for dine-in," the food alone is worth a return visit!
However, it’s worth mentioning a few quirks about the payment process that some customers have found a bit perplexing. While the dine-in experience is overall positive, the double-tip system can lead to confusion. A little extra clarity would go a long way to streamline the transaction process.
In conclusion, Dumpling King proves itself as a culinary jewel of Coral Springs, drawing diners in for the rich flavors and delightful dining experience. Whether you’re a seasoned dumpling lover or just looking to enjoy delectable Asian dishes, Dumpling King offers a unique ambience and menu that will leave you craving more. So, grab your friends or family, head over, and experience the food that has everyone raving!

“ Everything we ate was delicious. Slightly awkward ordering scenario for dine in. But would definitely go back. ”
“ We stopped by Dumpling King and tried the fried chicken, a bowl of ramen, and their soup dumplings. Each dish was delicious in its own right, but the standout for us was definitely the soup dumplings. I'm not much of a dumpling connoisseur, but the experience of biting the tip, sipping the flavorful broth, and then eating the dumpling was both fun and delicious. The fried chicken was crispy and well-seasoned, and the ramen had a great depth of flavor. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely be back for more! Highly recommend giving this place a try if you're a fan of dumplings or just great food in general. ”
“ This venue is part of a small chain, that started in Miami. Great food and service. Prices might be a bit high but worth it. Had a good experience with friends. ”
“ DELICIOUS! CLEAN! COST EFFECTIVE! Happy Chinese New Year! The service was amazing too. It's really nice to know a place like this exists in this particular area. The energy is also very relaxing. 10/10 would come here again and I highly recommend it for a small family and anyone looking for a cost effective lunch / menu with delicious food that you won't be disappointed. They also give A LOT of food. ”
“ Well I live across the street from this place, and ever since it's opened I've been excited to try it. My roommate typically doesn't like this type of food, but in rare form she suggested it so I jumped on it. I'm not disappointed and I'll likely return. I'll start with the positives, jump to a hilarious brief negative, and then end with the overall verdict (its positive). Skip to chapter 2 if you just want Alejandro's opinion of the food. Staff - excellent. I've only been here once but I was impressed. They led us in a direction of success, handing us menus, suggesting things, and being knowledgeable enough to answer our questions easily. The girl cleaning the tables after people left saw me stand up and she asked if she could help me. After requesting to-go boxes she was happy to get them. I like when they work as a team, and they did. I understand certain jobs need to be focused on by certain people. The hostess shouldn't be refilling peoples drinks or taking peoples orders, but it's always awkward when the "runners" bring a burger and fries without ketchup and since it's not their job to ask "is there anything else I can get you?" everything gets cold by the time the waitress gets back for a checkup. A bussboy/girl isnt going to go mix you a drink for the bar... Again, only was here once but the teamwork seemed to exist here which was great to see. The only negative is the payment process (specifically tipping). For their sake lets assume its a glitch, but part of me thinks its intentional, or at least they're aware of it but slow to change it or don't want to change it at all. As a numbers guy, i don't blame them for not wanting to change it but from a customers view its pretty "sus." Digitally on their credit card machine: Subtotal: $33 Tip $5 Total: $38 -------------- Then they print out a receipt saying: Total: $38 Would you like to add tips? 15% $5, Total = $43 18% $6, Total $44 20% $6.75, Total $44.75. -------------- I understand places adding 16-20% gratuity for large parties, notifying them, and then still offering them a spot to add more tip if they'd like. But this one is slick, and just rubbed me the wrong way. Being opened for as long as they have been I'm pretty sure they're aware but don't care to change it. Please tip them, just make sure you WANT to double tip them if you fall for them asking for you twice. Saying "no i dont want to tip" is awkward, so it almost makes you want to say yes again. I have major OCD especially with numbers and money, so this likely sounds like a bigger deal than it is. But this was my interpretation of my experience. Chapter 2, the food. I loved it! Vegetable spring rolls were pretty good. Had that illusion of health even though you know it's not. But it tasted great. Sort of shocked it came with packets of duck sauce but didn't change my opinion of them. $1.50 each means they won, but so did we. It's a fair add on you wont regret. I ordered the Shanghai style steamed dumplings. I'm no SME (subject matter expert) on this style of food. I dont know if it was presented authentic, terrible or mediocre. But I can tell you I enjoyed the experience and I was happy with it all! There was a lot more liquid inside of the dumplings than I expected. Turns out that's why they call it a soup dumpling. I tried the passion fruit bubble tea. I've never snorted coke, but this was the oral equivalent of the biggest rush I've ever been on just with a sip or two. I'll pass on this from here on out but I appreciate them suggesting it to try. Just way too sweet for and old guy like me. My roommate had the seafood noodle soup. I thought it looked 8/10 but she said it was 9.5/10. But it did look good and was affordable. Overall verdict is great. It's unique to coral springs to have a spot like this. They're polite, helpful and send good and affordable food your way. Just don't fall for the double tip unless you absolutely are aware and want to double tip. But for the food and experience, i approve! ”
“ If you want good dumplings and the best comfort food there is ; dumpling king it's always the spot . It seemed a little busy for the week day but we didn't wait much to place an order since they have the kiosk to place to go order which it was very convenient. I placed the order and the dumplings were freshly made and steamed right in front of me . The chicken dumpling and soup dumplings are always a must . Taro tea it's so delicious but wait to order later on after you get your food since it could get warm . Clean and organized just seemed a little crowded with tables and chairs ”
“ If you're a fan of soup dumplings, Dumpling King is an absolute must-visit. Hands down, they serve the best soup dumplings I've ever tasted. The delicate, thin wrappers encase the perfect balance of savory broth and tender meat, creating an explosion of flavor with every bite. The broth is rich and flavorful, and the filling is just the right amount of juicy, never greasy. This isn't just a meal; it's an experience. You have to try the chili crisp with the dumplings. ”
“ Fantastic place and the staff was very friendly! This fast casual spot is the newest of 4 locations for this local chain. It offers a bunch of Northern Chinese cuisine faves! I highly recommend: - scallion pancakes with sweet chili sauce - pork soup dumplings (aka XLB) - pork fried dumplings - beef hot dip (I got medium and it was perfect) - lychee green tea with lychee boba We were too full for dessert but next time, I'm going for the CUSTARD BUNS!!! ”
